So, Elizabeth and I have had a really busy couple weeks with all our knitting. We had the Yarn Shop hop and then the Purlin' Peaches knitting trip on the SAM Shortline train. I've been working my butt off on my scarf, its coming along really well. It actually knits pretty quickly, even though its being worked on such small needles (US 2). I think Elizabeth and I are going to start knitting socks. I mean, I might as well...I only have about 15 balls of sock yarn! muahhhahahah. I've never knit socks, but oh how I love the yarn. Its always so colourful, and always feels so good in my hands. Mmmmm....yarn.

Well crap....
I started my scarf using the Araucania Ranco Multi yarn the other day. I've had to rip it three times, as I've screwed up on the pattern each time. I was thinking the 3rd time would be the charm...but not so much. I just realized that I increased a stitch by accident. So, I decreased to get myself back to the right amount of stitches...now, Im one stitch over on the pattern. So, I've essentially, I'm just restarting the pattern, one stitch over from where I started. Oh well. I refuse to rip it back again.

OMG GO ME!!!!
Well, I bought more yarn today, or I guess I should say my mom bought it for me. I got two more skeins of Araucania Ranco Multi, color #305. I found this PERFECT pattern to make a scarf from it. Its a seeded rib scarf. I found it through Ravelry (of course). And I'm proud to say that I can now purl. I used to know how to do it, but then never actually used it after Elizabeth taught me. So....I had to relearn. I'll post a picture of the practice swatch I'm working on, so I can get used to the pattern. So far so good! Elizabeth learned how to crochet today!!!! GO HER!!!!! And it looks damn good too!!!!

Crisis averted
Upon another look, I noticed that I may not have to rip the block after all. I think when going to finish it up, I should be able to stretch it just enough for it to fit together. PHEW! I was worried there for awhile.
